Disabilities Notice 

Children with disabilities are entitled to a Free Appropriate Public Education.  If child lives within Clarkston School District area and is:

• suspected to have or has a disability
• between the ages of three to twenty-one; and,
• who is not receiving Special Education

Special education services are available to children enrolled in private schools, home schools, and public schools.

Disabilities may include, but are not limited to: developmental delays, orthopedic impairments, health impairments, learning disabilities, mental retardation, hearing and/or vision impairments, and communication disorders.

The superintendent is authorized to direct the development and implementation of procedures addressing the elements of this policy, consistent with the complaint and investigation components of procedure 6590, Sexual Harassment.
