Student Achievement 

Accountability for Academic Results

The Clarkston School District has many check points in place to track student achievement including classroom, district and state assessments. Staff utilizes these points to determine the effectiveness of classroom instruction and target student needs. State tests include the following:

  Grade  
  2nd Developmental Reading Assessment: Teachers prepare an individualized reading program for those children who are below grade level.
  3rd ITBS (Iowa Test of Basic Skills)-Reading & Math
  4th WASL (Washington Assessment of Student Learning)-Reading, Math, Writing & Listening
  5th WASL-Science
  6th ITBS-Reading, Math and Language Arts
  7th WASL-Reading, Math, Writing, & Listening
  8th WASL-Science
  9th  
  10th WASL-Reading, Math, Language Arts and Science
  12th Science Project and Completion of Portfolio


Upcoming Assessment Dates:


ITBS To Be Announced. Approximately 2 1/2-3 1/4 hours administered in several sessions.

WASL: To Be Announced: Administered in several sessions approximately 50-
90 minute in length.
