Bridges Parent Partnership is an educational program that supports families who choose to create their students’ learning from a home-based foundation. Our program partners with parents to help students acquire the academic skills essential for life-long success.   Bridges offers a blend of home based instruction, campus classes and enrichment opportunities to meet the unique and individual needs of our students.

Bridges Parent Partnership follows the Clarkston School District’ s academic calendar. Students attend classes on Tuesday at Grantham Elementary School,at 1253 Poplar St., Clarkston, WA. Our school day begins at 8:45 a.m., and ends at 2:45 p.m. The remainder of educational time is completed at home. While on campus students take part in science, art, physical education and music classes.

Bridges’ parents work directly with an advisory teacher to design an individualized written student learning plan based on the Measured Student Progress(MSP) examination and the state’s Essential Academic Learning Requirements (EALRS). This plan includes the learning time that is spent off campus as well as any on campus instructional time. 

To offer support and guidance, advisory teachers communicate monthly with parents either in person, by phone or through e-mail to ensure students area achieving the goals established in their written student learning plan.  

The Clarkston School District provides the following curriculum for families who enroll in our program:

·       Saxon Math

·       Shurley English

·       Social Studies Made Simple

·       Benchmark Reading

We also have supplemental materials to support math,reading, social studies, spelling and science and access to numerous websites with a variety of curriculum supplements.

Bridges Parent Partnership requires full time students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 to take the Measured Student Progress  (MSP) examination in May of every school  year.
