Lots of things are always going on in the IT Department.
Summer Projects - At this time (June 4th at 9:00 am) we have approximately 59 "Projects" for this summer. This includes, but is not limited to, moving classrooms and offices, re-imaging labs, student computers, teacher computers etc, network and coax cabling installation, surplus pick up, miscellaneous other work orders, and new server installs. We are in the middle of trying to figure out the plan of attack on all of these requests.
DONE!! Re-Imaging of the Elementary and Middle School Labs are almost complete. We are still working on the mobile carts in the Elementary Schools.
DONE!! Re-Imaging of the Science Department Durabooks are finished with normal after effects being handled on an individual basis.
DONE!! Network upgrade for Clarkston High School, Lincoln Middle School, Parkway Elementary, and Heights Elementary happened during Spring Break. You may not notice a difference, but the reliability will hopefully be seen if anything happens.
DONE!! We are expecting MSP Testing to be ready after Spring Break. As for student computers in the classrooms, we will have the Windows computers ready within the week. Unless you have an Intel based Apple/Mac we cannot install the MSP Secure Browser on any older iMac or eMac.
If you would like to schedule any trainings in the Technology Department, please, turn in a Work Order at http://helpdesk.csdk12.org/tech/, then call Cheryl Krause at extension 8324 to confirm the receipt of the request. An email will be sent to you to confirm the scheduling request. You can then forward the scheduled appointment to anyone else that needs to be in the meeting. If there are any extra needs other than the projector and computers, please put that in the Work Order.
We will no longer be using the Tech Calendar for scheduling. This has created some issues within our department and therefore will no longer be available.
