Summer P-EBT distribution funds are set to come out in August 2023. These funds started being distributed during the COVID-19 pandemic but may continue due to the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023. They are funds for food provided to students that qualify for meals at no cost during the school year but are out of school during the summer. Because our District was running under the CEP (Community Eligibility Provision) during the 22-23 school year, ALL of our students that had access to meals are eligible for these funds regardless of whether they participate in the summer meal programs.
Families can sign up for text message alerts about the status of their child’s P-EBT benefits by filling out a simple verification form on the DSHS P-EBT Text Sign-Up webpage: https://www.textpebt.dshs.wa.gov/.
