Clarkston School District is recruiting active community volunteers to join the Clarkston Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC). If you are interested in helping us review and recommend adjustments to the district's 25-year Capital Facilities Plan, please submit your application (online or in person) by February 23, 2024. The selection committee will review all applications and select committee members no later than March 1st. The first committee meeting will be March 15th.

The Facilities Advisory Committee understands the district is focused on ensuring every dollar spent is effectively prioritized and allocated to achieve the maximum benefit possible for every student. This focus ensures a quality physical environment for students’ education, and at the same time, costs are controlled for the taxpayers.

Background and Experience that may be helpful include, but are not limited to:
• Effective listening skills and openness to all perspectives.
• Ability to compromise and build consensus on a team.
• Knowledge in areas such as construction, financial planning, and facility management.
• Understand the need to align works with laws, regulations, and policies.
• Interest in supporting all students, staff, and the community.
• Growth and innovation mindset for learning experiences.
