Dear Clarkston Community,

As part of our district’s strategic planning process, we are launching a survey to gather your insights, ideas, and experiences. This is an opportunity for all of us to reflect on what’s working well in our schools and to imagine how we can build on those strengths for the future.

Why we’re doing this:
It’s been nearly ten years since our district last updated its strategic plan. Our goal is to create a plan that truly reflects the voices of our educators, students, and community—and that will guide our work in the district. This is a moment for us to listen deeply, celebrate our successes, recognize what gives us hope, and uncover opportunities to grow together.

Who will take the survey:
All educators and staff members are invited and encouraged to participate. Students will engage in similar conversations through advisory, and parents and community members are invited to share feedback as well.

How long it takes:
The survey should take about 10–15 minutes to complete.

Why it matters:
Your input will help identify common themes and guide our next steps. The ideas and stories you share will be reviewed by the school board, leadership, and community partners as we co-create a vision for the years ahead. This will be an ongoing process—results will be shared publicly, and the plan will inform specific actions and improvements across the district.

What to do:

  • Be honest, be specific, and focus on what’s going right—what we can build on to make our district even stronger.

Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective. Your voice is vital to this work, and together we can create a plan that honors our strengths and our shared commitment to students and to our community.

Thank you,

—Clarkston School District
