Users

Clarkston Families,

We are planning on closing down the current website and moving to the new website  on Monday, January 10, 2022. This article explains what is happening and why.

Today marks the first of five news articles (Monday - Friday) in five days showcasing some new features. The first element we want to explain is in two places: the top right portion, called the header, and the middle “Information” section of the new website.

We have identified six user types in our district: students, parents, educators, community members, job seekers, and board members. We encourage you to check out each link. Both sets of links (in the header, and in the information section) go to the same landing pages. The idea behind this organization came from some award wining sites we found that designed their website around user themes. Under each section you will find the most popular links and resources for that user. We wanted the website to be simple and tried to design it so that users click as few links as possible to find what they need. If you are a parent, you will find things like bus routes, handbooks, grades, etc. If you are a  job seeker you will find information like our dedicated  jobs site, application forms, contacts, and information about the district.

Please check out each of the user categories and let us know what you think by using the Clarkston Chat link on the website, or here. As you look through these pages, please let us know what is missing and what you can’t find. We may be able to add that link to the section you are in, or point you to the place we felt it fit best. We also know that a large majority of our users access our site on a mobile device. So the icons are big and easy to read. Try visiting the site on your phone.

Thank you!
