In March of 2020, Senate Bill 5395 was signed into law, requiring all public schools in Washington State to provide sexual health education to all students.  That law was brought before the voters via Referendum 90 in November of 2020.  The voters affirmed the law that was passed and the requirement goes into effect, starting in the 2021-22 school year.  It is important to note that even though the law goes into effect this year, parents have the right to opt their children out of any comprehensive sexual health instruction offered by the Clarkston School District.  

 Grades K-3

 There is no sexual health content in grades K-3. 

 Grades 4-5

 There is no sexual health requirement for the 2021-22 school year for these grades.

 Grades 6-12
